The first Date Update is the introduction to chapter 2.
There are two story paths to explore as well as alternate dialogue options. Two routes means there are two endings, other than the game over.

We were thinking of waiting for the full chapter 2 release but I forgot about Indielift. :P
I had this version of the demo that included more story for the Game Jolt release. (I understand Itch more than other platforms).
I think it just feels a little nicer. Though, the original demo ending on the crisis hook I thought was a good touch and show a bit more variety to the story.
We are three editing sessions and four programming sessions from completing Chapter 2.

There was a but with the first date update. You couldn’t play as a man.
Minor bug fix. I turned this “+” into “=”

I put the first date update together myself and I didn’t test the new pronoun tags. If you downloaded the .02.02 First Date Update please download the .02.02.1 if you want to play as a man.
I haven’t updated the Mac Version. That should be ready later tonight.
